Tell the Truth

Text Box: Dear Servant,

Why don’t you tell me the truth? Do you think I do not see or know every action you make? Are my ears so deaf that I do not hear every word from your mouth? Can I not see the very thoughts and desires of your heart as if they were written in huge, bold letters? I am sovereign above all and I know everything. Why when you pray do you speak to me with flowery words and “religious” language? Why do you speak in phrases that you neither feel, contemplate or sometimes even understand? Rather you just spit out those clichés as if the words were enough to satisfy me.

I am the sovereign God and I have chosen to have relationship with you. I allow you to praise me and even desire it, but I do not desire hollow praise. I desire honest prayers in your own words. I want to know when you have failed and how you feel angry, even when you are angry with me. I want to share your joys and sorrows and the smallest things of your day. I want you to seek me for comfort when it seems the whole world is against you. I want to hear when your heart is so full of my love you must sing for joy. I want relationship. Relationship must start with honest communication.

Waiting for the truth from you, I AM
