Resting Place

Text Box: Dear Servant, Do you remember when my servant David was being chased by his enemies? At one point he lay down and slept. How could he do that knowing that those who were seeking him wanted his life? Was he reckless or careless to do such a thing? No, David was resting in me. He did not know if his life would be spared or if his enemy would triumph. He did not know that he would arise in the morning on earth or in my heaven. He did know that he could trust in me, no matter the circumstance. In truth, the only true rest comes from trusting in me. You can sleep at night in a peaceful, restful sleep. Despite the storm blowing outside you can also stand in peace. Not because I have promised a “good” outcome, but because I have promised I will never leave you nor forsake you.
