Requests

Text Box: Dear Servant,

	What would you ask for if I offered you the whole world?  Would you want fame?  Would you desire for everyone to know your name, your face instantly recognized by all?  Would you want riches?  So much wealth at your finger tips you could not possibly spend it all. What about health and long life?  Would you want to be able to run a marathon at ninety or live to be one-hundred and twenty or more?  How about knowledge?  Could you see yourself as the smartest person in the entire world?  Would you ask me for that or any of these other things? I am your heavenly Father and none of these things are beyond me.

Do you remember when I told my servant Solomon to ask for whatever he desired?  He asked for wisdom and I blessed him with that and more.  You see, his request was unselfish.  He asked for wisdom to serve me and rule my people.  His request was for something that could only be shared and given away.  Though the wisdom I gave prospered him, it was because of his unselfish heart.  Would your request be the same kind?  Would you unselfishly ask for something to give to others, or would you ask for something to spend on your pleasure?
